Looks like Im going to have to break my tradition on fishing in Feb.  With this mild winter we are having the King Mackerel, Blackfin Tuna and Wahoo have been great when the winds are calm.  Also the Speckled Trout and Red Drum have been doing well.  After this week I will have the boats ready for another season and looks like I will be going fishing in Feb.  I have not been in a week so this is what WAS happening last time we went fishing.

Today was a slower day for Oak Island Fishing Charter as we caught 35 King Mackerel that weighted around 300lbs.  Fish have tails but this time of year should be way better than this.  O well looks like the wind will blow for a while now so its time to start cleaning and waxing.

For two days Oak Island Fishing Charters has been commercial fishing and let me tell you the fishing is great.  I want to give you a fishing report that is 100% hands on not what someone told me and this is why we commercial fish when we do not have a charter.  I have attached a 5 min video of how we commercial fish and as you will see it is no fun for the angler.http://youtu.be/KjKYN_IxtLg

 

Oak Island Fishing Charters is still at it.  Wed we caught about 90 King Mackerel that weighted around 1100 pounds. I cant go into detail cause its 4am and we are off again.  Stay tuned for your 100% hands on fishing report.  Pictures and Videos to come next week.

Oak Island Fishing Charters has been tearing up the Wahoo’s, Blackfin Tunas and King Mackerel.  We just ran our last trip today for the 2011 season and would like to thank everyone who joined us this year.  You have put in your time and helped us build the reputation of catching Trophy fish.  Im going to be commercial fishing till the Grouper open up May 1st so the only charters I will book will be Gulfstream, King Mackerel and backwater trips.  Here are some pictures and videos of the last couple weeks, enjoy and take care.  http://youtu.be/O602Omc4Qxg

       

 

 

Sorry for the delay in the fishing reports my computer crashed and I have had to order a new one and lost all my passwords.  For the last 3 weeks we have not been sitting at the house waiting on fishing reports we have been catching boat loads weekly.  There is no off season for us as we are on the water everyday the weather permits so when you book with us we don’t have to rely on other info.  The King Mackerel fishing has been GREAT but the Wahoo bite has been even BETTER.  Once the new Computer comes in next week I will post pictures.  Merry Christmas Everyone

The King Mackerel Charters was easy yesterday and has  been easy the past few weeks for Oak Island Fishing Charters.  The rest of the winter should provide the best fishing of all year so don’t let the cold fool you.  Once we get offshore it is nice and on most days we wear short sleeves.    When you have 2,3,4 lines going off at the same time it cant get much better, so don’t miss out.

Oak Island Fishing Charters put a beating on the King Mackerel again today.  We caught the boats full limit of 10-25lb fish in less than an hour fishing only 2 rods at the most.  Hope tomorrow is half as good. standby
