Oak Island Fishing Charters Updated Fishing Report

Things have been crazy busy here at Oak Island. With Kids out of school and the weather has been nice for the most part we have not had time to anything but Fish, Eat and Sleep. The fishing patteren has not changed much for us because everyday is about the same. Nearshore trips have seen good numbers of Spanish Mackerel and steady Shark fishing. The backwater trips are still steady catching Red Drum, Flounder and Speckled Trout. There is still some dates open before the kids go back to school or if you are thinking about the fall then now is the time to start booking. Big Red Drum, King Mackerel, Grouper and Wahoo will be the target in the coming months so dont miss out on the fun.

The last several weeks have been busy with the kids being out of school. We try to focus on getting kids hooked on fishing nearshore and backwater while giving them the experience they should always remember. Nearshore has been seeing good numbers of spanish mackerel combined with shark fishing to make the arms burn. Backwater trips have set in the summer pattern with Red Drum, Trout and Flounder keeping everyone on their toes. The kids have about another 45 days to keep us busy then its time to start thinking about Big Wahoo, King Mackerel, Bull Red Drum, Grouper. If you would like to get in on the fall action now is the time to start thinking about it.
