Oak Island Fishing Charters Double Nearshore

The first nearshore trip was tough this morning just like yesterday, we saw plenty of sharks behind the Shrimp boat but could only manage one good one.  I moved the second trip to the evening and went to a calm spot where the fish was stacked up.  We landed 8 nice sharks and lost a Blacktip that put on a show for us by jumping out of the water over and over.  Looking at the Heat, Wind and over all tough fishing on my end I might ride out the next few days till the weather gets right again.

Oak Island Fishing Charters Nearshore

Oak Island Fishing Charters had 2 Nearshore trips today and will have to say they were worlds apart.  The first trip was simple catch enough Spanish Mackerel for dinner then catch a Shark (Nice Hammerhead Shark).  The second trip was only able to catch small mess of Spanish Mackerel and with it looking like it was going to rain we called it a short trip.  Even though the second trip was short everyone was happy and we look forward to fishing together next year.

Oak Island Fishing Charters More Spanish and Sharks

Oak Island Fishing Charters went looking for Spanish Mackerel and Sharks on both trips today.  The first trip was tough, we caught a few Spanish and zero sharks so we headed in early.  Now on the second trip it was a different ocean as soon as we put the lines in we started picking at the Spanish steady.  After the Spanish trip was complete it was time to do the shark thing.  We landed several Blacktip sharks including one around 100lbs so this goes to show you never know what or when the fishing will be the best but  one thing is for sure you will not catch them at the house.

Oak Island Fishing Charters Great Day

Oak Island Fishing Charters had 2 1/2 day trips and both had success cathing Spanish Mackerel and Sharks.  On the first trip we caught the Spanish half way down the beach and we spent the last hours catching blacktip sharks up to 50 pounds.  On the afternoon trip we found the Spanish Mackerel off Bald Head Island jumping everwhere and after a while they just disappeared so we went Shark Fishing.  The sharks this afternoon were big up 80 plus pounds and at the end of the day everyone went home with plenty to eat and Big Fish stories to tell.  We will be in the Backwater all day tomorrow.
