Where did the fish go today? No Kings, No Drum, No Sharks I had to be in the wrong spot all the time today but we really had no option because I had friends fishing from Oak Island all the way down to Mrytle Beach and it was the same story “dead ocean”. So we packed up came in and will just do it on another day.

Oak Island Fishing Charters Shark Fishing
Oak Island Fishing Charters set the spread out for King Mackerel this morning and as luck would have it they did not want to bite our hooks. Several boats in the area caught fish but the big bite has not really happened yet. The morning was not a waste because there are shrimp boats everywhere and that equals big sharks and they were very hungry. The wind is suppose to turn to the NE and I will have to say I LOVE a NE or East wind this time of year because it makes the King Mackerel go crazy. So the old wise tale of wind out of the east fish bite the least is just another excuse.
Oak Island Fishing Charters Sharks and Kings
Oak Island Fishing Charters went searching for the King Mackerel that we did not catch over the weekend. Even though we did not catch a fish that would have won the tournament we did catch a good money fish (day late). Also the sharks are still around and they are hungry but will be on the move as the water cools off.
Oak Island Fishing Charters Kings are here
Today Oak Island Fishing Charters put the kite up in the air for the first King trip of the fall season and will have to say it cant get much better. Our hook up ratio was not the best today but we had 17 bites and only landed 8 nice kings while fishing on the beach. Strong cold front coming hope the bigs
Oak Island Fishing Charters More Big Sharks
Oak Island Fishing Charters managed to get a good shark fishing trip in today without even getting rained on. We fished off Bald Head Island NC and the sharks were hitting the bait while the rod was still in my hand. Fall Fishing is around the corner and I only have a couple more days open for the month of OCT. so don’t delay.
Oak Island Fishing Charter Giant Blacktip Sharks
Oak Island Fishing Charters got a late start today so I was all turned around. First the bluefish was all over and in no time we had enough to go fishing. We tried to catch a King Mackerel but the conditions just did not look right so off to the Shrimp Boats we went. After moving around from one boat to another we finally found them and they were full grown (100lbs plus).
Oak Island Fishing Charters Spanish Attack again
Oak Island Fishing Charters found the Spanish thick again this morning and in no time we had a cooler full. Fall is around the Corner and we only have a few days open for the whole month of OCT so you still have a chance to book some of the best fishing of the season. We Live Bait fish for hot action so come join us as we take it to the next level while other watch.
Oak Island Fishing Charters Monster Blacktip Shark
Everything went like clock work this morning for Oak Island Fishing Charters today while we were fishing off Bald Head Island. First we had to catch some Spanish Mackerel and we could have done this with our eyes closed (they were slabs too 2-4lbs). Next we went Shark fishing and the big Blacktips are here and they are thick. The first one looked about as big around as it was long. Heading offshore to try something different tomorrow, stand by
Oak Island Fishing Charters Big Spanish on the Beach
Oak Island Fishing Charters did great today on the Big Spanish Mackerel less than 2 miles off the beach today with live bait. Most fish were between 4-6 lbs on Spinning reels. Sure hope they stick around cause they can make the drag scream.
Oak Island Fishing Charters Hard Fishing
Today Oak Island Fishing Charters spent most of the day looking around for some better signs that the fish are coming. This morning did not look good andthe afternoon looked great but still not many fish around so the big question is tomorrow the day. The water was clear, bait every where and fish busting the water between the two piers. After the way the water looked this afternoon I don’t think I can blame it on the storm (fish just are not wanting to bite today). Everyone on the boat new the situation before we left the dock and we still had a great time on the water. The only way to look at fishing this week is are you going to be the one to find the fish or hear about the fish.
