Oak Island Fishing Charters set the spread out for King Mackerel this morning and as luck would have it they did not want to bite our hooks. Several boats in the area caught fish but the big bite has not really happened yet. The morning was not a waste because there are shrimp boats everywhere and that equals big sharks and they were very hungry. The wind is suppose to turn to the NE and I will have to say I LOVE a NE or East wind this time of year because it makes the King Mackerel go crazy. So the old wise tale of wind out of the east fish bite the least is just another excuse.

Oak Island Fishing Charters Backwater Red Drum Fishing
Oak Island Fishing Charters went chasing the Red Drum this morning and all we could catch were over the slot size. You cant control what size you catch because somedays are just better than others. Look out King Mackerel here we come tomorrow.
Oak Island Fishing Charters Sharks and Kings
Oak Island Fishing Charters went searching for the King Mackerel that we did not catch over the weekend. Even though we did not catch a fish that would have won the tournament we did catch a good money fish (day late). Also the sharks are still around and they are hungry but will be on the move as the water cools off.
Oak Island Fishing Charters Kings are here
Today Oak Island Fishing Charters put the kite up in the air for the first King trip of the fall season and will have to say it cant get much better. Our hook up ratio was not the best today but we had 17 bites and only landed 8 nice kings while fishing on the beach. Strong cold front coming hope the bigs
